Everything expats and English speakers ask before booking a mover in Stockholm.
- Do you speak English?
- Yes – our entire office, coordinators and lead movers are fluent in English. All quotes and invoices can be issued in English.
- How much does a mover cost in Stockholm?
- A studio starts at SEK 1,995 after RUT deduction. A 2-room apartment: SEK 3,900. A villa: from SEK 19,900. All prices are fixed – no surprises.
- What is included in the price?
- Labor, insured truck, basic packing material (blankets, straps), transport, disassembly and reassembly of standard furniture, and RUT paperwork.
- How long does a typical move take?
- A studio: 3–4 hours. A 2-room apartment: 5–7 hours. A villa: full day, sometimes with 2 trucks in parallel.
- Do you provide packing materials?
- Yes – standard flat-pack boxes (60L) cost SEK 25/each and are delivered before the move. Bubble wrap, tape and wardrobe boxes are also available.
- Am I eligible for the RUT deduction?
- Yes if you are tax-registered in Sweden with a personnummer. The 50% deduction is automatic; we invoice the net amount.
- Can I get RUT without a personnummer?
- No. You must be personally tax-registered in Sweden. Employers cannot claim RUT on your behalf.
- Is your work insured?
- Yes – we carry insurance up to SEK 10M per incident and follow the Bohag 2010 industry standard for consumer moves.
- What if you damage something?
- Report the damage within 7 days. Our insurance covers repair or market-value replacement. Typical excess is SEK 1,500.
- How far in advance should I book?
- 3–6 weeks for month-end and June–August. 7–14 days is usually enough mid-month, autumn and winter.
- Can you move on weekends and evenings?
- Yes – Saturdays and evenings are available at no extra cost. Sundays and public holidays carry a 20% surcharge.
- Do you handle parking permits?
- Yes. In the inner city we arrange the parking permit and unloading zone through Stockholm municipality – included in the price.
- Can you help me unpack?
- Yes. Unpacking service is billed hourly (SEK 450/hour after RUT) with a 2-hour minimum.
- Do you offer move-out cleaning?
- Yes – guaranteed cleaning to Mäklarsamfundet standard. If the buyer disputes, we re-clean for free.
- Can you disassemble IKEA furniture?
- Absolutely. Disassembly and reassembly is included for standard furniture. Complex kitchens and PAX systems may be quoted separately.
- What if my elevator is too small?
- We assess it during the quote. If a rope hoist or extra staff is needed, it's included in the fixed price – no on-the-day surprises.
- Can you move a piano or gym equipment?
- Yes. Piano moves start at SEK 2,900. Heavy items (safes, gym racks) are quoted individually.
- Do you offer international moves?
- Yes – to 40+ countries via partner networks. Sea container from Stockholm to New York starts around SEK 65,000 door-to-door.
- Can I pay by card or invoice?
- Both. Private customers pay by card or Swish. Companies get 15-day invoice by default.
- Do you offer discounts?
